Description:

Techdryad quickset is an admixture used as a setting accelerant in cement mortars. It is designed to be used in conjunction with TECHDRYAD MORTAR ADDITIVE to help accelerate the setting times in the mortar when laying Tech-Dry Blocks during colder climates where temperatures are low, or when fast setting mortar is required.

Recommended Uses:

Techdryad quickset is recommended to be used together with TECHDRYAD MORTAR ADDITIVE at a dosage rate of 0.5 to 1 litre per 40kg cement at a cement/sand ratio of 1 to 4. Higher dosage is required when temperature is low. Techdryad quickset is added separately after TECHDRYAD MORTAR ADDITIVE has been added and thoroughly mixed. Please do NOT pre-mix Techdryad quickset with TECHDRYAD MORTAR ADDITIVE.

Alternatively, mix 300ml TECHDRYAD MORTAR ADDITIVE with 2 shovels (approximate 12 kg) of cement and 10 shovels (approximate 60 kg) of sand. Blend the mortar mix thoroughly and then add 150 to 300ml of Techdryad quickset. Continue mixing until desired consistency has been achieved. If required, add water to adjust the consistency.

However, the dosage rate may vary depending on temperature and set time required for the job specification. Increase or reduce the addition rate accordingly. The above dosage rate will accelerate the setting time by approximately 1 hour at 20 oC. Increasing the dose if the temperature is low or if faster setting is required.

The consumption of Techdryad quickset varies significantly. 20lts Techdryad quickset will lay up to approximately 2000 Tech-Dry Blocks.

Please note as cement mortars vary significantly, a test MUST be carried out prior to application to determine the suitability of this product for the purpose. Handling & Storage:

Techdryad quickset is a non-hazardous material. However, as with all chemical products, good industrial hygiene procedures should be followed when using this product. Vapour inhalation and skin or eye contact should be avoided by wearing proper protection. Wash hands after handling. The product should be stored in closed containers in a cool dry place away from fire or ignition sources at a temperature preferably between 5oC to 25oC. The product has a shelf life of 12 months in the sealed original container. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
